Howler’s Backstory--
Howler comes from a long line of wolves that chooses a school to protect. He was born in Wolfania Hospital in Antarctica. He is the youngest of eight siblings. He loves the cold and loves playing hockey with his siblings. His parents migrated to the USA when Howler was 4 years old, and Howler made New York his home. He enjoys going to museums, the library, amusement parks, sporting events and pizzerias. He grew to love reading books and would pass hours at the library. After all his siblings chose their schools to protect, it was Howler’s turn at the age of 13 to find his school to call home.

Howler’s Arrival--
One Tuesday in July of 2019, there was a summer rainstorm, and that is when Howler showed up at OLV. He was dripping from the water as he walked in. He sniffed around the halls. The he checked out the kitchen, and sniffed the classrooms. After that he then proceeded to let out a long howl to signal his acceptance as OLV as his home. Ironically, this is how he got his name "Howler", as a wolf pup, he always holwed when he really liked something. 

He then asked Mrs. Castilla for a large pizza with extra cheese and introduced himself as Howler. Mrs. Castilla, our principal, was overjoyed that he chose to be our mascot and stay with our school. To show her joy, she decided to put Howler’s image on shirts, and more, so he could be our official mascot!
